HELP: I need to stop people booking one night only!

I opened an account today and set my rental to a minimum of five nights. Now I have a booking for one night!

I seem not to find anywhere to change that.

Mark all the dates you want to change in the calendar and select the minimum number of nights on the right side and press the save button. Just to be sure, he goes through the calendar again in case he changed everything, because things don't happen that often.

Hi there, and thank you for answering my question. I did exactly as you wrote, went through all the restrictions, and changed the minimum stay to 5 nights.

Afterwards I went back to my booking online - and tested a two night stay - and there again it was confirmed. Mistery ......

A few things to check.

Using the bulk edit tool, again set your minimum stay to 5 days. This is much better than running through highlighting in the calendar, you are bound to miss pockets of dates that way

EVERY rate must be done individually e.g. if you have a room-only rate and a breakfast-included rate ( or different amount of pax rate) for the same accommodation, each of these must be set individually.

Check any promotions you have running, inside these you can set the minimum stay for the offer, check they agree with your normal setting.

***TIP: do not use the "set as same for standard rate" (or wording to that effect) as it's a tad fickle and often leaves your offer on one day instead of the desired restriction.

Changes on the back-end are not always immediate to the front-end. These can take anything from 30 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the change made and the workload on the BDC servers.

On the back of these answers, is it possible to have a min 5 nights on only one month, or does the whole listing have to be only one setting (ie mine is 2 nghts min atm)?

Thanks!

Yes, it's possible!

Calendar/check the "restrictions" box/ enter appropriate date range/click first date required to show drag arrows/drag box to last date/new box appears/enter number for min. days (note that bulk restriction edit is available here too)/ activate/ save.

DONE!

Thank you so much! I tried the bulk edit option but it was too complicated, so I'm doing directly in my calendar..

Thanks again!

Hi there, from Rates & Availability > Calendar, you should be able to see the Bulk edit button on the right side. It might be that your Calendar is in Monthly view mode. You can change this from the right side on the same page as well.

Bulk edit button is located on the right side in the Calendar
