How are you approaching sustainability at your property?

I just thought of  is those small bottles of soap, shampoo etc in hotels and some smaller businesses.

The solution would be to instead invest in dispensers in the shower, sink  tap area etc. and just fill and refill from refill containers, which tend to be foil bags.

 

Would be interesting to know if those product companies are now switching to producing their products in foil refill bags instead or still ignoring the problem.

With cleaning products such as Detol Spray cleaners, they actually tag their spray bottles to encourage you to buy the foil bag refills.

Sustainability!!!

Earth is suffocating and we are all responsible for this...

Thanks for this article...it has so much to give us...

We buy only in bulk shampoos, conditioners, body wash, hand soap, detergents even sanitizers and fill dispensers when needed.

We do not provide plastic dishes, utensils, glasses, straws, bags...

We have extra filter in tap water so guests don’t have to purchase table water in bottles.

All Outdoor lights are solar with sensors.

Thanks to our sunshine we have solar water system.

We urge our guests to use towels more than once.

We don’t clean during stays but only when guests depart.

All our windows and veranda doors have screen doors so the use of air conditioner is very limited.

There are many more that we can do to help our planet...we are trying...Sustainability Handbook is a very nice guide...
