Inaccurate Property Description
The standard intro to my listing, which I do not appear to be able to influence in any way, continues to state that guests can enjoy playing tennis 'on site'. My property is a tiny village house with a roof terrace and certainly no tennis court!! Tennis is available in the village sports centre, and my 'amenities' page mentions this as an off site option, so why is my intro so insistent that guests can play tennis on my roof terrace? Am I able to personalise the basic listing intro? It's very bland and boring as well as being incorrect.

Thanks for the reply. I went into 'facilities' and removed the reference to tennis. When you look at the facilities section on my listing there is now no mention of tennis, and yet on the intro page there it remains in black and white, "Guests at Casa Limonero can enjoy tennis on site, or go hiking or cycling in the surroundings."
For any "amenities" that are not strictly exclusive to the property, we set them to No. Sure, there are swimming pools and bingo and all sorts on different holiday parks and horse riding and beaches and golf and cycling and all sorts nearby, but as they're not run by us, not part of the property etc, we say no. We simply don't trust Booking.com to describe these activities normally or correctly.
I have said no. Tennis is not on my list of facilities at all, but it appears in my property description and I cannot seem to get rid of it. That's my issue. It should be blindingly obvious that a village house in the centre of a traditional Spanish pueblo blanco is not going to have an on site tennis court, but I am assuming nothing. A friend with another pueblo house received a negative review for not having an Olympic sized swimming pool in his non-existent garden because one of his gallery photos was of the municipal pool!
Adding to the above .... we have a luxury apartment with king size bed and sea views .... the BDC description says "features a toaster" .....
Mine said mountain views when you could clearly sea the sea! I have terminated three times to start again which seems easier than trying to get some robot to change things - and this Brooke ave seems the only 'person/robot' on here that answers all questions!!!! Might have to give booking.com a miss!

I shouldn't laugh, but that is classic! :D The fact that I have a microwave is also considered worthy of a mention in the extremely brief guide to the charms of my property.

Yup, BDC use a cross-eyed algorithm to produce the property description.
You need to keep the pressure on for changes until the description is at least vaguely correct. It's a really bad system of producing descriptions, BDC claim it's driven by internet keywords and phrases but it's really hard to accept much truth in that when the results are sooooooo poor. Fot ages we had our "own private car park" instead of public on street parking, no matter what we entered in Extranet.
For a while we had two bedroom suits, instead of our studio apartments, the description clearly contradicting our room information. As usual BDC don't really give a hoot and it takes persistence to correct all this malarkey.
Here is another example of inexplicable weirdness. The heading for my property includes the Booking.com generated legend 'great for two travellers', which is true. However further down the listing is an FAQ section. One question is 'Is Casa Limonero popular with families?' to which the answer as supplied by Booking.com is 'Yes, Casa Limonero is popular with guests booking family stays.' Where does that even start to come from? The house is listed as unsuitable for children and those with restricted mobility, and the listing states that we do not accept under 18s.
