Increase Rate
Hi there
Hope you are well, i have been running self catering and listed for Booking.com for almost a month, can i be able to increase the rate?
Second query, am i allowed to charge last minute booking specifically for one night booking slighly high rate?
Your help will be appreciated.
Regards
Michael
Hi Michael and welcome to the Partner Community.
You can change your rates any time you want...you can control them as you please.
Wish you a great start.
Just to be absolutely clear if you mean , can you change an existing Rate Plan for a booking already placed, then no.
You can only change rate plan settings for future bookings, and of course adhoc prices in calendar list view by date.
e.g. make Thurs to Sat higher rates than Sun- Wed.
As for Last Minute same would apply.
Note if the guest is not expected to prepay when booking , you will never get paid for No Show etc even if the linked Rate Plan is a Non Refundable one.

How & Why Add your Listing to your Partner Community Profile
Hi Michael Tshwelesa,
As other partners have mentioned, you have complete control over your rates so please update as needed. Regarding last minute bookings for check in the same day, if you still have availability you may wish to increase your rates on the day (say you do this the morning of). However, if a guest has already booked a rate prior to you changing your rates, you must honour the rate the guest has booked.
Kind regards,
Shirley E.
Hi Shirley
Thanks for the reply.
Just had an incident last week, a client check in and when we check the room after he left, we found that mattress cover, 2 pillow cover, twin plug and jug went missing, we contacted the client and he confirmed that it was taken by the girlfriend, he was intending to bring it last week but nothing is happening.
How do we address the matter going forward.
Regards
Michael
I dont see any other way but ask for a deposit directly
Oh, that's no good Michael, we run a B&B in NZ and are on site so don't have anything like that happen. If off site it could be harder to check. Maybe you could have a deposit payed to you and on guest leaving it can be returned to the guest after checking the place out. As for last minute booking for same day we would like to increase our prices but having to do this every day would not work for us, we do have a lot of guests that book on the same day, anyone suggest how that can be increased for any day would be appreciated.
