I believe the rules for a public jacuzzi in Spain encompass those for a public swimming pool.
Therefore, a pumped filtration system with other water sanatising elements, e.g. UV light treatment, cleansing pH-neutral additives. would most likely be required.
Thanks. This a private jacuzzi in a villa. there will be no people at the same time just one set of guests. then a clean then another. Do we have to tip out 2000 litres of water between guests or is using chemicals etc OK?
From my experience in Spain, all the licensed (for holiday rentals) villas and B&Bs had some sort of filtration system on their jacuzzis and obviously pools. You may now have extra C19 stipulations.
The department for issuing the license should have a set of regulations that you're supposed to adhere to, ask them, your ayuntamiento or even a gestor for the latest requirements.
Each province has its own rules so always check with your local authorities. If you are in Andalucia there is a very useful forum HERE where you can pop all sorts of questions to mainly the expat community. There are some very knowledgeable folk there and many doing exactly the same as you.
If you are not licensed, please do so at your earliest opportunity as the fines are very steep and you WILL be discovered.
