I have a holiday cottage that I rent out, and looking for some advice.
a family has contacted me to see if they can rent my cottage for 2 weeks. They are being repatriated from Argentina in the next week, but cannot return home yet as there is a vulnerable person at their home. They want to use my cottage to self-isolate for 2 weeks. I can’t find a definitive answer on the government site to see if I’m allowed to do this, so wondered if I can do this?

many thanks

You have posted this on the partner forum and not to booking.com help team.  But I don't think it is a booking.com decision.  Each country has their own set of rules around travel and isolation so really it is down to the rules where you are operating.  Does the government site have a helpline you can use?

Hello Holiday home on the Green! Welcome to the Partner Community and thanks for asking your question. I would recommend to ask our most experienced and active partners. I will tag them.

Hi Kath,

From my perspective, simply yes.

Unless you know of anything preventing them from arriving, after that point on, its up to you t o decide how to handle them arriving.

i.e. a process and procedures for them to follow if you occupy the same common spaces , kitchen , bathroom etc.

Like key hidden outside, and send them instructions.

Assuming its only going to be them on site, then that is even simpler. zero interaction other than phone , internet , whatsApp etc.

You could provide them with cleaning surface sprays, bleach etc.. and hand pump soap in the typical locations.

Assuming there is nothing stopping them from arriving in port or airport; transport is running to get to cottage; local shops are open for supplies; delivery services may be in operation; etc.

Thank you, that’s good to know.
They will have the cottage all to themselves so no problem.
It’s a shame that Booking.com has blocked all accommodation bookings at this time, as people who are in the same position or need to find a place to isolate cannot find my type of property at the moment.
