Late Arrival Fee?

Guest arrived day of arrival, three hours past their agreed upon arrival time. Property requires assistance to enter, happy to stay up only had I know of their intentions. Would this be valid reason to request a late check-in fee?

Thanks for the assistance!

Regards, Gabriel K.

Hi Gabriel,

Is a bit of a catch 22 imo.

If it is indeed a late check-in then yes I kind of agree but..

It will not always be there own fault not that fault should be a factor, that they get delayed  due to late flight landing time etc.

You say property requires assistance to gain entry, can you elaborate on what exactly that is please

Then I might be able to suggest a way to automate or streamline it better. such as  remote control from your smart phone  opening a lock or gate etc..

Kind Regards

Hi! Gabriel,

I never ask for a late check-in fee...I live on site so I dont mind if I have to wait...I am not so strict in check-in...check-out....

I can understand though why some partners charge fees...

Wish you well.

Great point, unexpected circumstances, doesn’t warrant a price. Thanks for the reply.
