Its called 2 Factor authentication or 2FA.
Its the norm in this modern cyber security world we now have to live in in order to protect our accounts on different services.
Should someone key log your username and password, they cant gain entry, without having access to or redirecting your SMS or email notifications forthe code.
You can install the pulse app too on phone to use it as a code generator for 2FA.
There may be an option when you next use it to :
"Trust This Computer"
Some services do that , to tag a trusted device but usually only for up to x days, i.e. 30-45 depending on the password policy the sysadmin has set.
