Quiet room request
Can I turn off the option that lets guests request a quiet room. It is ridiculous as every guest is now requesting it.
Thanks
Lori

Seems to be a bug in the system that should be fixed soon.
Had 2 requests for "a quiet room" today, very annoying. Replied politely that my caravan is in a lovely and private location on a holiday park, but obviously for that reason not isolated. Wondered where the option to select "a quiet room" is to be found on my extranet page, but couldn't find it.
Became more annoyed, so called Booking, where I spoke to a lady who wasn't aware of a "bug" or any other problem related to this and said that "don't worry", it's a message that is not sent by the guest and that my reply will therefore not get seen by the guest. So I was replying to nobody then? I asked her. She seemed out of of her depth and I asked to speak to someone who could tell me what's going on here.
Was put through to a Supervisor, who started giving me the usual spiel about "technical problem", but I didn't buy it. Having worked in an IT Help Desk for years I know that this must have been a deliberate manipulation and not some technical "glitsch". The guy said it's done by developers, that they are understaffed, facing problems, COVID-19, etc. etc. etc. I still didn't buy it and finally he said: "Oh, I just got this update here and it says that an experiment (EXPERIMENT!) started on 22 June, which will be terminated on 25 June. I'm in the UK, so probably 25 June is on USA time and it'll take a while longer for us Europeans for this "experiment" to be ended.
Supervisor also told me that it's not on top of the list of priorities for Booking to solve and that I can modify my welcome message template reflecting the issue, which made me very angry, as it isn't my job to sort out their mistakes and it has to do with mutual trust not only between guest and owner but also between owner and Booking and therefore should be a number 1 priority! If I had received multiple requests today and eventually would have perhaps replied in a rather annoyed way, I could have lost the booking!
Supervisor also rattled off their business model: "We want you to do well (of course, that's where they make their money) and not in any way cause you problems" (only if it serves their marketing purposes, of course!).
While I was on the phone to Mr Supervisor, I got a message from the guest in question I'd replied to, saying that she hadn't requested a quiet room and was wondering where that came from. So a reply IS sent to the guest, which contradicts what the first Booking person told me...
Upshot of all this: I laid into Booking in a big way - not for the first time - about their total lack of proper communication towards owners and their callous way of carrying out experiments. If they decide they need to upgrade their marketing strategy they should make it clear to owners what they are doing and how they can switch off an experimental option on the extranet page.
This experiment has backfired massively on Booking and I hope they will get many, many complaints from owners about it.
Hello partners! Unfortunately, the problem is caused by a bug. The good news is that the team is already working on fixing it. Let's hope they will do it soon.
NONSENSE! Stop lying to people! You started a marketing experiment that's caused major annoyance to your partners! Nothing to do with a "bug"!
Every guest is requesting a "quite room" we only have 21 rooms and this a getting very annoying. My lowest rate rooms, small with one bed are expecting to be upgraded to my more expensive large rooms with 2 beds in the back area. However, we can not guarantee any room is quiet. We have no control over neighborhood or traffic noise. Maybe another guest is a loud talker or door slammer. We have no control over this ridiculos request. Booking.com PLEASE remove this.
Guest are expecting to be refunded if their room is not quiet , by their standards. Remove this Booking.com! We have lost enough money due to the entire industry suffering through this rough time. Booking.com don't make us loose more reservations because we can not guarantee QUIET ROOMS!
i would also like this to at least be an option to disable it.
Very frustrating feature that everyone requests.
