The reservation cancel

Hello everyone,

I have one request regarding to reservation cancel. The Guest inform us (cenversation between our reception and quest) 26 of June about the reservation cancel.

The Guest arrivel time is today. We forget inform the booking company about the cancel. Of course, that we want not pay for not realized accommodation. We dont know if we can cancel this reservation or if is it too late?

  • erm why are you replying to your own post with the same text ?
  • doing so removes it from the unanswered list and reduces its visibility and ca nend up not being seen.
  • next time just edit the post  and wait

 

  • right so if the guest contacted reception to inform of intent to cancel, the guest failed to follow procedure.
  • therefore you mark it as no show and if they prepaid they do not get a refund.

 

  • in future direct the guest to their own account to initiate the cancel request if more than 48 hours to arrival date.
  • if 48 h or less then they must still contact CS team on main website , live chat, phone and request it.
  • you will then get a notification to consent (and waive cancel fee if any)

 

  • alternatively but again if more than 48h you can click on Request cancel and option 2, this auto includes waive cancel fee when you initiate it. wait for guest to get notified to click an action link to confirm. the nonce they do you get confirmation its cancelled.
     
  • but if within 48h if the request cancel is greyed out you have no choice but to call partner support to request it.
    • but remember the golden rule its always better to have the guest call and initiate it with booking.com (BdC)
