Tips to stay on top during Covid-19
1. Respond asap when u get a new booking by welcoming yr prospective new guest, and keep a line of communication open at all times.
2. Keep your space clean and tidy.
3. Add a welcome choc, a bowl of fresh fruit and I always provide 1l of milk for that much needed tea/coffee on arrival, as my space is self-catering.
4. Good, fast internet is a big plus, especially for business travellers.

Do you provide coffee,milk etc on the web?
Nota
No, not on the web, but there is tea, coffee, sugar and milk available on arrival, and sufficient for the next 5 x days. If they stay longer, they usually provide their own provisions.
I am a senior citizen 75 years and I started with Booking .com and bnb but due to covid I have not entertained, But today one booking at midnight received ,Initially I was reluctant and tried to get a new date , because I was afraid that I am not ready yet , but the couple came even before checkin time and happy to stay with me, And I offered black coffee and biscuits, They seem satisfied and anxiously waiting to recieve them as soon as they come back from their outing and urgent job

I offer them a bottle of Cretan wine and a bottle of water.
I used to provide a nice bottle of South African wine, but I found that most people are not drinkers, so it was a waste. I also find a lot more people are health conscious and appreciate the fruit basket much more. I have had a few vegans, who do not take milk, so the litre of milk I provide upon arrival, was never opened, and sometimes goes to waste too.
I prefer to give my guests whatever they need if they are on a short visit, especially when things like butter, Olive oil, etc are usually only needed in small quantities. For that, I usually give them a small quantity of Olive oil and butter if they ask for it.

We provide a basket of goodies eg water, chocolates, nuts. Also a bowl of fruit. Coffee, tea is provided and milk in the fridge for their arrival.

Hello nice to be around once more. At Little Palace our guest are offered a glass of fresh fruit juice on arrival and a 500 ml bottle of water per person in their room.
We strive to make them comfortable by celebrating their special occasion with them. For instance if it's a birthday anniversary etc. they get a special from us.
At departure they are given a token of spices. Christmas 2020 I received an email from a past guest informing me that she used he spice in her drink for the holidays. That was very nice.
We are looking forward to retaining this service.

I also give herbs and spices from my garden to my guests...I can understand exactly how you feel when guests show their gratitude....it's a special feeling that hosting can give you!!!!

I always provide to my guest a little can of my olive oil, two bottles of fresh water one still and one sparkling, a fresh milk bottle and a basket of snack and biscuits, coffee, tea, pasta and all the main products to cook a meal or for a breakfast. Sometimes a bowl of fresh fruit and my marmelade, I like to change products.

I must indeed say that I've been pleased with the support from Booking.com and receiving their award this year again. This has motivated me more.
Currently during this Covid break I am using the opportunity to upgrade my property and myself in training opportunities in the area of hospitality management thereby being more prepared for holiday seekers.

(1)Question. when clients book at this time Covid..and dont show up!! and do not let you know. what to do!!.Being a cosy auberge in the french alps..we are open all year and have always looked after our clients.
