We have a booking for Christmas 2022 but it is booked at 2021 rates and we have only just applied the 2022 rates. Are we able to write to the booking.com guest and advise them of the increased rate or are we forced to honour the 2021 rate? Thoughts would.

Be creative, contact guest tell them that month is not officially open for bookings, offer alternative options, or direct deals

Thanks for reaching out. Booking.com is an instant confirmation website, therefore if you have availability open and loaded and a guest can book it then that rate is applicable.
