Weekly rates booked for less than 7 days
Anyone else had the problem that booking.com allows guests to book at the weekly discounted rate for a stay shorter than a week? I think I have found another glitch in the calendar system. Last night I took a booking for 6 days and the guest has only been charged the weekly rate. When I checked some random dates it seems that the week rate was available for stays of as little as 5 days, which defeats the object, so I manually changed that to 7 days in the diary for 2022. I don't ever remember changing any of those dates to allow 5 days to qualify for a 10% reduction. I checked my rate plans and it clearly says 7 days in there. Do I now have to manually check every future available date to make sure it is not allowing generous discounts that I haven't authorised? Please help as I am spending far too much time trouble shooting the diary. Kind regards, Janette.
Thank you for responding. I have already messaged customer support but no response from them yet. I have other rates and am used to adjusting restrictions on them to suit my length of vacancy, however, a weekly rate is something that was presented as an 'opportunity' for me and I set it up a long time ago thinking that a weekly rate should be just that...a rate for guests staying a minimum of 7 nights. It shouldn't be possible to adjust it for stays of less than a week.
I agree weekly should be weekly but I suspect its just a config that needs to be tweaked by Partner Support team.
Interesting. Thanks.
Hello Janette! Having the same issue here. I have guests coming for 3 nights but with a discount as if for a weekly rate. Really strange and annoying to be honest. Have you solved the issue anyhow? Thank you!
YES IT JUST HAPPENED TO ME AS WELL, GUESTS GOT A 7 DAY DISCOUNT FOR 5 DAYS
