I can't post a photo of me like that, I'm tooooooo ugly!
But more seriously, I have an agency and manage a lot of properties and we don't want to get all friendly and cuddly with our guests .... we rent out to make money, simple as that ....
True its passion having various people around you even if it doesnot meaning earning alot from them for example the fee l charge is so little to even take care of my expenses but gave it out to unprevilaged children to acquire further education
Wow, that is AMAZING! Good for you! We are active supporters/contributors to a local non-profit supporting youth at risk of homelessness...giving back us super important!
Welcome is as important as goodbye - we spend a lot of time welcoming guests and showing them around our Chambre d'hôtes and equally we have made it a ritual to get guests to our gate and wave goodbye when they leave.
In November some of our guests even got the Movember treatment before leaving ;-)
This is our first post so probably the picture is going to be f... up....
November guests from Paris - looking good with their MO before getting on the road...
Actually little things like, mostly local products....home made marmelade, herbs from my garden, walnuts from my walnut trees, virgin olive oil etc..sealed with a kiss...ha...ha...
Thanks partners for this forum am sure it will help some of us learn alot of which did not know and we improve on our hosting services like l did not know giving a guest a big smile adds popularity of the facility
A big smile and a warm hug do not cost anything but are so welcoming...you do not even have to speak the same language for others to understand your feelings....
So if you think about it, firstly it is all public info, its not actually private.
example, your name, your service name, location, phone number email.
It does not take much to find this info when you have some partial info and access to google.
My second reason is for it to be in our profiles so when we get new partners who are lets say in same country, city or region and are struggling , not tech savvy, no hotel experience, winginig it...and there have been several who have asked for someone to just ring them to help.
Should we then choose to, we can reach out and talk to them over phone or whatsapp or other internet service (such as teamviewer remote desktop support tool).
Not everyone here will have the time to do it or want to offer that level of help and that is fine.
Plus, we give our departing guests a few of our guestroom advertising postcards to share with their friends, family and co-workers later.
I would gladly display our guestroom postcard here, but Booking, com will delete the image, as it shows my telephone number, website and e-mail address.
this booking number was for a stay on 5/18 for 1 night for 2 rooms, there is some type of payment error, that very well could be on the hotel's part, I needed
Now the hosts: Welcoming our guests whenever we can. A joy for all of us. Breaks the ice, and sets up the guests for a relaxed time away.
Though a bit older now, losing hair and teeth, we still love the hosting!

Hahaha you guys look like a fun group to stay with!
Hi! Peter and welcome to the Partner Community. I agree, welcoming our guests is the same important as goodbye is.
I am always there to wave goodbye and give a small gift to them.
I think guests highly appreciate when we show them our appreciation.
Thanks for sharing your experience and beautiful pictures.
Wish you a pleasant evening.
I do like to wave bye bye but many are not bothered and drive off. Just like that !
There I am with lipstick on , hair nice and teeth brushed..
At least hubby will like it hahaaaa
haha fairplay
Ha...ha...Aaltje...how happy your hubby...
I never let my guests leave without waving bye bye...
I ask them a day before leaving their approx. time of departure explaining to them that I want to give them something...
It works...
I know why our guests leave in a hurry ; the bed is too good , hahaaa
what something do you give them please share

Bed is always a good reason!!! Hihihi...

Dear Alice,
A big smile and a warm hug do not cost anything but are so welcoming...you do not even have to speak the same language for others to understand your feelings....
Wish you happy guests.
With each new group of arriving guests, I give them our business card that has our home and cell phone numbers and street address.
This is comforting to our guests, who might forget where their guestroom is or a phone number to call if they have an emergency while sightseeing.
Great idea Don
I may need a business card too. Pondering about a design now.
Greetings
Aaltje B.
Don, very thoughtful of you to give your guests your card....
I urge my guests to safe my location in their google map in their iphone so if they are lost they can find their way back....
Thanks for sharing...
Here is our business card (front and back sides):

Dear Don,
....Stay among the Pines....
Love your description!!!
Your card is very elegant!!!
Your card is excellent and very informative!!!
Don, thanks for sharing...
Booking, com just deleted my front-side business card image, which was above.
I now believe any image with a telephone number, e-mail address, or street address is not permitted to post on this community forum.
Don, I guess you are right....
It was a beautiful card....lucky I saw it...
I know its ridiculous, like how it is a problem when its a partner forums with other partners.
Shouldn't we be able to contact each directly?
I cant think of one reason why not.
Barry, I think its not allowed to give personal data in the Community.
Can you tell us the one reason you are thinking or is it improper????

Yes, I think this info is public...and everybody can access it very easily...
Barry thanks for posting.
Our guests' TV-lounge has a 12-cup coffee maker, which we provide ground coffee, sugar and cream.
When our guests check-out, we give them paper coffee cups (with plastic lids), so they may enjoy their morning coffee while returning home.
Dear Don,
Very thoughtful of you....little things count...
Seven thumbs up....

Thats ok Don, thanks for sharing...
I was thinking of making a small magnet card...what do you think???
