What types of restrictions do you usually use?
Dear community,
I see that my previous post dedicated to some questions about the calendar tooling received many replies. And I’m really glad to see our Community being active and focused on important business questions.
As I mentioned before, the Booking Calendar product team is working on improving the calendar tooling and functionality to make it more useful and handy for all partners.
Today I want to cover the “restrictions” topic. As you know, restrictions allow you to manage your reservations and ensure you get the bookings you want. If you apply restrictions for certain dates, rooms, and/or rate plans, guests can only book your room or property when their search criteria meets the conditions you have set.
What types of restrictions do you usually use? Why? Please post your answers in the comments below!
I think it would be really useful if the restrictions weren't hidden and partners didn't need to contact the help team to be able to view them. There have been many posts here where partners are trying to following help instructions to set things up but can't see the lines and they think they are doing something wrong.
Overall they are really useful, particularly minimum stay over busy periods or stopping check-in for specific days.
I only use two ones...
Min. length of stay and min. advance reservation...
I use min length of stay so guests don’t stay only for a day....My Studio is 85 sq. m. and there is to much cleaning just for a day...
With Coronavirus I have adjusted my min. to six nights...
I use advance reservation in order to have enough time to prepare...clean and sanitize my Studio....
Other restrictions I don’t use...
Thank you for your replies Sharon Powney, M Adamopoulou!
Massive pleasure Sergei.
