50% cancellation policy but the Credit Card is invalid. What can I do?

We had a renter who's credit card was not filled out in entirety and now we cannot collect the 50% cancellation and no-show policy. How can I collect or how can I report to booking.com?

Hi Vincent,

  1. Clarify was it a No Show and you marked it or the Guest Cancelled?
  2. Clarify, that you signed up for BdC Online Payments, and are referring to the VCC issued by BdC in the reservation details page, which is only revealed in full on the day after arrival date?
  3. You can always use the Report Guest feature on the reservation details page.

Note: If the guest never turned up and the VCC info is actually that provided by the guest and not a BdC issued VCC then you will never get paid.

However having said that, that scenario should be impossible as last I checked the VCC info attached is no the guest's own card details.

Maybe Communities Team  can verify that when a partner uses BdC Online Payments that the VCC card info attached to the reservation details page is actually generated by BdC system to represent the funds they took form the guest at time of booking.

so therefore it is never a card owned by the guest.

secondary question I would ask them if the guest is not asked to prepay at time of booking, and partner extranet policy for prepaid is not enabled, but Online Payment is, is there any recourse to claim the cancellation fee, if unable to charge the VCC.??
