Cannot sync airbnb calendar

I've been trying to sync calendars with my Airbnb property.  I keep getting a message saying my ical is wrong but it's not.  Is there a workaround for this issue?

I haven't seen this error, but have seen many other problems with the calendar sync. Even if you get the sync set up, be aware that the Booking.com calendar sync does not work properly, settings can change without your input, and you could get double bookings. Always manually block out when you get bookings - so if you get a booking on Booking.com, block those dates on AirBnB, and vice versa.

Thank you.  I'll do that.  Safer anyway.  I just hope no two try to book close to each other. before I can block the dates on the other site.

That's always a risk.. Even with iCal syncing can take some time (up to 15min). The best solution with "instant" syncing is channel manager.

Booking.com say "calendar sync is updated 3 times a day" or "every 8 hours" .... it's definitely not instant .... and of course, the sync doesn't always work ... Booking.com often fails to send or retrieve data and sync settings can change without owner input ....

As Booking.com cannot provide reliable iCal data or reliable syncing, I personally do not want to trust them to provide reliable XML data or reliable XML sync with channel managers .... is there any genuine evidence that Booking.com's XML import / export works properly??

When I receive a confirmed booking notification from BDC (or any other OTA) the booking is shown in Channel Manager in a minute or so (meaning all channels are synced/updated).  

In three years I've got overbooked only once, during high season (last minute booking for the last available room), I received a booking on the exact same time through BDC and AirBnB.

I synced whit airbnb calsendar yesterday, checked, then got a booking last night for a period that is booked with Airbnb! What do I do now?

You'll have to get one of those bookings cancelled - probably best to contact Booking.com via your extranet and tell them that you have a double booking because the calendar sync doesn't work properly and that the booking needs to be cancelled - insist that you do not have any fees because of this and any other penalties. Unfortunately, it will still show as a cancellation in the extranet and this will work against you (like a penalty) in your rankings (see the rankings dashboard - cancellations cause a ranking penalty).

For the future, always manually block - don't rely on Booking.com calendar sync ....

We have a four room beach property on booking and four listings at Airbnb as well as Expedia and direct bookings. Everything is smoothly managed via ET Channel manager for just $5 per month. Worth each penny.
