Close 1 day after every guest

Does anybody know a way to automatically close 1 day inbetween 2 reservations, so I would have more time to prepare the room. Closing 1 day before and after a reservation manually is quite labor intensive.

If you go to the yellow help circle at the top right, you can type in your question: 

How do I stop guests from booking and arriving on the same day? 

 

The answer will be given how to arrange what you request. 

I have the same setup and it suits me; peace of mind not having to rush to prepare the room.

As Community Admin. posted this feature is not possible... I also do it manually every time I have a reservation...

Dear Ella,

You probably are reffering to "min. advance reservation"

"There can be many reasons why you don’t want to receive same-day reservations – when a guest books and arrives on the same day. To avoid them, you can add a ‘Minimum advance reservation’ restriction to your rate plans. Once you set this up, your property will only appear in guests’ search results if their search criteria matches your condition(s)."

This only applies to avoiding reservations on the same dates of arrival...not before and after a reservation has been made.

Do I understand right???

Unfortunately, there are no settings on the Extranet, that would automatically close a day after guest's check out date. You can try to close it manually after each reservation comes through, but it might be not so handy.

Ah got it.. 

So the team could set it up as a new feature to have the next day automatically blocked for bookings. 

I tried to ask the question before yesterday but had errors when realizing my suggested answer wasnt adequate .

I think it is a great feature for those who need extra time to dry wash and stock up. 

What do you think community admin?

Hi

Install the 'pulse app' on your smart phone, and then it will only take < 2 minutes to do so.

Thats how I do it .

the problem with blocking manually is if the guest wants to change the booking, maybe adding a day, it will already be blocked on your calender so giving the guest impression that the room is unavailable.

true but there is no automation plugin to do it for you either :)

 

so it is what it is and we just have to do it as soon as we see a new booking and they can always send a message to check

 

The only possibility would be to review Channel Managers and ask them if they have any form of user created rule system you can set up in them to auto close the next day.

Yes, close a day after every guest checks out, not possible. If you have one room; its possible, if you have more not possible.

It is more work for cleaning, disinfection, wear the mask, flowers, If sunshine its ok, to get fresh air to rooms, bedding dry fast. 

I'm up to running only French visitors, many professional travellers, great, but I do not enjoy ass before. 

Are you open, do you get control from the local hygiene department?

We will open on 15.6 but no reservations....

Most of Greeks are not thinking of holidays...most people have huge economical problems...

We only have one Studio so we are enjoying it as if we were the Guests...

If life gives you lemons make lemonade...lol...
