Covid has killed our business and we need to sell our house but we have two bookings in the summer, what do we do?

We have two bookings which we cannot honour, we have no choice as we can no longer keep the house.  What can we do to cancel the bookings, will this be an issue?

Welcome to Partner Community !

You need to contact directly to guests and inform them that you are unable to host them because of your business suspension due to Covid-19 crisis. If you've already taken the deposit from them, you should refund this amount back or should arrange another property for them to stay.

Here is a definitive list of steps:

 

  1. First block out the entire calendar either bulk edit 12 months ahead as CLOSED for each room type or use the Open CLose Rooms menu .  
  2. Contact each Guest to avoid relocation invoice, directly. Just keep it simple, and say Business No Longer Operating Due to COVID19, and you need to cancel their booking and if any thing prepaid, it will be refunded in full. They just need to acknowledge the cancellation notification in their inbox that will appear shortly.  
  3. Now go to their reservation details page, and on right pane click Request Cancel, then option 2. As you have contacted the guest already, they just need to click on a link in the notification the system will send them.  
  4. Once you see the status change and or a system notification saying Guest has confirmed cancellation.  
  5. Now with all bookings cleared, you can 'End My Partnership' as follows:

 

 

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose TERMINATE
  6. Then follow prompts

 

Those 6 steps are the official quickest way to close account off, once you have your  ducks in a row.

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
