Guest threatening with bad review

We have had a guest that claimed 80% refund of the rent. If he did not get it he would make a false bad review. I contacted a number of times without getting any neccessary help.

I also tried to give the guest refund through, but nothing happened. 

He ended up giving a false review.

Posting something like this will not result in any action at all.


Sorry to hear Eik,  I would tell them to go ahead as there will be no refund, as you do not negotiate with ill-mannered guests. 


Being Irish I would use the 'mammy card' . lol

I would recommend you :

  1. Report and blacklist  them. Under their detail page on right, is a menu, Report Guest, in there you have option before submitting to block future bookings from this guest.  
  2. Ratings with bad feedback comments. So typically unless they actual break a comment rule, it wont be removed or edited. Instead reply to the comments, with a firm but polite tone. To counter their misinformation so someone else reading it later will see they were intentionally being difficult. i.e. use your words to politely put them back in their box.


This happens to many of us and its completely unfair, but in the grand scheme of things, its just part of the culture of some, and we just have to move on .
