How to cancel a booking in booking.com

Can you kindly help me? I don't know how to reach booking. Do they have or you have a phone number to call at?

I can't get hold of booking.com to cancel my booking and get a refund, I am so angry, all there phone lines are blocked. please some one help, I have spent hours on this

#1 rule of cancelling always get the guest to do it. so you are not sent a relocation invoice.

 

Notify the guest  of overbooking or just say due to covid you cannot host them at those dates.

 

Consider offering alternative dates; 1 night free or 3 for 2 etc if they change dates, be creative.

 

Now assuming you have to cancel and no chopice or alternative dates to offer etc:

  1. Create a message template for manual use for sending these notifications, and can then tailor to each guest when using.  
  2. It should explain only the intent and how if they prepaid BdC , until they receive the BdC system notification and click the link to agree, only then will the BdC system process the refund to them (up to 10days).  
  3. Now if a cancellation is related to say failure to prepay a deposit, on the cancel options you would choose option1. Minimum wait time must be 24h after new booking before you use this.  
  4. If not related to failure to prepayment, then its option 2. to select, this then triggers the 2nd notification form BdC system with the link to agree.  
  5. Open their reservation details page, on right pane is Request Cancellation, then you get options 1 &2.  
  6. This method is if you want to trigger the cancellation, including if the guest emails or phones you to do it.  
  7. But consider instead after and when you are notifying them, in that message template, give them the brief steps to cancel it themselves. i.e. Direct them to the main BdC website to their account and get them to initiate it.

 

NOTE: If you need to cancel and its short notice, e.g. last minute, or 48h to arrival, phone BdC Partner Support, sending a message or posting a request on here will result in zero.

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
