How do you prepare your sofa bed for guests?

Hello all partners,

For a year, on 5 properties, there were only 3 people who complained about preparing sofa bed. They complained that why I do not prepare sofa bed as bed. In my opinion, sofa bed is literally ‘sofa bed’. Guests use it as sofa during daytime, and use it as bed for sleeping. That is reason why I do not open sofa bed and do not make a bed for guests.

I am just wondering how other partners are handling it. Thank you!

I would offer your guests a 25% to 30% discount, if they are sleeping on your sofa bed and not in a regular bed in a private bedroom.  I assume the sofa bed is in a common area, such as a living room.

You need to state, the discount requires guests must make the sofa bed themselves for sleeping.  Store the sofa bed linens, pillows and blankets on a rack in the nearest closet.

Some guests will make the extra effort to save on guestroom rental fees by making the sofa bed themselves.

I also have a sofabed.  If the number of people in the party means that it will be slept on then I always make it up as a bed.  They tend to leave it made up as a bed and just use the dining chairs during the day.
