ID for the guests who book through us?

Hi,

I am a owner of property listed on your website. I have a question, if you keed any form of ID for the guests who book through us?

I have a concern about this, and would like to speak to you.

My Concern is for security, as recently my property was booked by 2 different persons but with same contact number. I want to  be sure that no dodgy person lives in my property

  1. if you (BdC) need any form of ID for the guests who book through us? No its up to you to do that if you want it.  
  2.  I want to  be sure that no dodgy person lives in my property. No such thing, we dont live in the universe of Minority Report. Dont over think it. Just ask for ID to be submitted within 48 hours of booking in the Auto Message Template for new bookings. Guest must send a copy of a government issued ID. showing all corners and edges.

 

I use Whatsapp /Signal smart phone apps to accept the ID securely, encrypted. 

Yes some people have only email and no smart phone, so they can still scan and email if needed.

 

I find it best to get this sent ahead of time.

It also can be a great deterrent to time wasters/ fake bookings.

Have you enabled in policy - address and phone number are mandatory?

Unfortunately if you open up your property to bookings there is always a small risk, particularly if you are not on site.  Just because someone puts in an ID number it doesn't really help.  I think bad things happening is a very small percentage of guests.

Yes, All my bookings are ASKING FOR QUIRT ROOM, WHY, HOW COME???

AND: (Maybe its another bug)

Rating from our guest go unfair, the new rating system put us down. (I have read and understood) But: Visitors can rate -locations- Why? Locations are on display from our Booking.com / website BEFORE a booking are made. Nobody can complain about locations, we cannot change anything. Visitors can rate Room View, if the Windows don't face exactly what our guest needs, We cannot change, and WE DO NOT TELL ANYBODY, Sea or Mountains View... And, Now our Guest complains, about slightly smell in our room: We are Disinfect room, EVERYwhere, Bath, Bed, Room, Carpet and every item, for security reason. Please give us a Change to recover this CORONA crisis, without complaining, we do our very best, for all guest and our self. Thank you. Lucy.
