People making reservations

Good afternoon,

I have received a booking for this Saturday night and I have messaged them to ask if their stay is for work purposes but I have not received a reply.

I am worried, as I understand we should not be accepting bookings for people who are not travelling for work purposes or are essential workers.

Can you tell me what I should do in this situation please? Regards, Shane

Hi Shane as you have the Fine print COVID settings set for essential workers.

 

Once they fail to respond within a reasonable amount of time either:

 

  • Message or phone Partner Support to advise them of the breach of terms for essential workers.
  • They should attempt to phone the guest while you hold.
  • If not resolved to the point of confirmation they are coming and are working locally, then the BdC Partner Support advisor should cancel the booking for you.

 

Self Service method can be longer and involve waiting too:

  • open the reservation details page, click right pane, Request Cancelation
  • choose option 1
  • you now have to wait for the system or a advisor to see the cancel request, and process it.

Its is hard to say what exactly happens when option1 is used but i know it also applies to failure to pre pay a deposit directly; failure to prepaid full rate if that is your policy etc.

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
