South of South-Island, New Zealand Kaka Point
Encouraged by other members of BdC I have now started the Photo-Series to show your area.
Enjoy and start snapping.
Dear Ella, I am so excited that you finally shared this beautiful post with us...
Finally, some color...
Kaka point is fantastic... cows look so happy with so much grass...
Yes, lots of grass now, and finally enough nutrients in the grass with the sun shining on it.
These green little "mushrooms" are huge rolled-up grass bales, waiting for winter.
They are being collected at the moment by hubby. They are a few hundred kilos each.
you won't think since they appear so small in the photo!
The big animal on the right is a bull and waiting to go chop-chop. He is a naughty one and jumps fences when by himself, hence the female ones keeping him company until butcher has been doing its job.
Mind you, it is painless, since in paddock and no stress whatsoever! chewing his grass and gone. It is providing us with lovely and very tasty meat for the coming season. No hormones or other nasties allowed in NZ so healthy.
This photo is taken with a landscape lens and gives sharp pictures from nearby and far.
I am not a prof and still learning but loving it!
The bull seems to be angry!!!
I’ve seen these green little mushrooms....and they are huge indeed and look so nice when you see them especially from an airplane!!!
Thanks for sharing your your loving experience!!!
It took a bit of effort but done from the heart, Maria. Honestly :)
Aaltje great job...I am trying to upload photos...again have problems...now I succeeded.
Photo is from Leivadia a nearby old village...
Very nice! Thank you for sending, Maria !
That took me a few tries to upload the photo ..... usual bugs in the BDC system ....
This is Ventnor Beach on the Isle of Wight today, in the middle of January. The beach is dog friendly - I took my 2 dogs there for a swim, they had a great time.
The Isle of Wight is open all year. It's business as usual, even in the middle of January. The seafront pubs and cafes were open and busy. People sitting outside, but wearing coats and hats. You could even buy ice cream on the seafront today!
Lucky to have tourists all year round. Great photo.
The nearest town to our mountain home's downstairs rental suite is Murphys, California (2,400 population), which started from the 1849 California gold rush. Its downtown Main Street features 20 wine tasting rooms, several excellent restaurants and gift shops.
It is a favorite weekend destination for women, who are celebrating their friend's upcoming wedding. One can often see these groups of pre-wedding celebrants walking the downtown street drunk, after visiting the many wine rooms.
Very atmospheric. Thank you Don.
I suggest this site to get the best credit card for travel visite this it's really helped me and I think this is best for you.
Bled, Slovenia :)
Photo: Jost Gantar
Stunning picture Pibo , Thank you !!
bloody beautiful BUT a bit cold......good for a whiskey or three.......lovely.
Summer boy...guess this is to cold for you!!!
Slovenia...speachless...is this your castle???
M Adam, no this is the main attraction in city Bled, we are distant aprox 1,5km from this point.
It features a lake, island + church and castle on the hill. :)
Also very pitoresk! The orange with the blue, and from this distance. Very beautiful.
Wow this is fantastic!!!
I have visited beautiful Maribor some time ago....unforgettable momments...
Do you live now in Serbia???
I live in Bled - Slovenia :)
pibomarco...Oh I didnt know...so we are very close...
Hope to see you...if you come to Greece...
What does the inside of the church look like? Do you have a photo of that, Marco?
A wishing bell - you pull the rope. :)
uploading images stil doesn't work.
Link not working, need to see inside of the church
A really beautiful site to explore have the best eye-catching place.
Ak, now you can admire the incredible inside of the church....
Thanks for sharing...
Wow, thank you Marco . That is amazing!
The story behind this picture...
Our dog Banana is been barking and barking....went outside to check out to see this beautiful cat trying to hide and keep warm in the hollow of an olive tree...
Sorry it got dark and could not take a better picture...
Meep-meep in the tree. High and dry, trying to avoid the dog. I think Greece is a "cat-land" because of the fish of the fishermen near the shores?
My cat is an adorable rescue cat, and all visitors love him. He is not allowed inside the guesthouse, but he is always waiting for cuddles when new visitors arrive by car. My cat is totally black and hard to photograph but will have a try later.
Oh! my Banana is a total black beauty!!!
She loves cuddles...especially from children..
Well, cats are independent...thats why Greeks have them...
Actually, I prefer dogs more, they are more loyal...
Why can't I add photo's anymore. I have tried e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!!
right amount of pixels, right size, right shape, right format and still.....pffft have given up :(
Sometimes it stucks...try again later on...
In the alternative text box did you try to write something...Sometimes it works when you write something in the box...
Hope you fix it because I cannot wait to see your beautiful pictures.
Sunset in Oropos!!!
Awesome photo, Maria!
These little ligths, and the colours, wow! And the black foreground. Great composition too.
Gonna try again, to upload photo.
Views from the guesthouse and homestead, Kaka Point, New Zealand.
Indeed, the system may have got stuck before, since now working in one go! Thanks, Maria for the encouragement.
Dont mention it...a pleasure to help...
Wow!!! your view is fantastic. Kaka point is amazing.
Thanks for sharing.
Will look for "strike-light" when the sun goes down as well.
Another challenge. it shows the yellow light beautifully.
It is a bit like the first photo with the bull, but that was in the morning.
I better start cleaning. People coming from Japan this time, exciting!
Wish you great guests and experience!!!
Chester, England :)
