syncing calendars

I have been trying to sync with airbnb for weeks. I follow the instructions, copy and paste the URL but get the message that the URL is not valid. I have been going round in circles. Have asked for help but still nowhere nearer. What can I do?

Hi Domingo, sorry to hear your struggles....

Many partners have troubles sync calendars.

You just have to follow carefully booking.com instructions and you will fix it.

Have in mind that sync is not in real time and double bookings can occur... It's better if you do it manually every time you have a reservation or maybe use a channel manager.

Wish you all the best.

Hello,

It should work. Keep in mind that you don't have to use the listing url, but the specific ical url that you will find in the Airbnb Extranet.

Here you can find a video about where to find it: https://youtu.be/ePa-B-rAoto

Maybe you can try the solution we've developed (at least just to double check that it works). It is a free channel manager for vacation rentals. It is super basic because it is based on ical. As Maria mentioned, bear in mind that sync with ical is not real time, so it may occur a double booking (you should keep an eye).

We are developing a "Channel Manager Vacacional" for independent hosts, it will be live in a month.

Kind regards,

Miguel G.

Hi Miguel,

Channel manager for independent hosts sounds very interesting.

Please keep us informed.

The only true sync tool is one that is external to all OTA, and acts as the initiator on its own schedule.

If it cant do that then its no different than what people already get with BdC and another OTA.

Somone else previously posted the same idea about having an external ical sync that initiates the sync, with its own schedule (i.e. every 10 minutes)

Otherwise you need a proper channel manager which will do all of this.

Kind Regards
