Jenny and Doug…

Hi we are in New Zealand.  We always meet and greet our guests, they really appreciate it. We have homemade cookies, muesli and jams in their studio together with personalised toiletries placed on their towels.  We also have a great selection of breakfast choices in the studio for the guests to have for breakfast.  Our guests really enjoy the treats.   We are very fortunate here that Covid is only in managed isolation and so we are pretty free to carry on life as normal.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for sharing such a great tip. I also want to host my guests back in my property. As a little boutique hotel, I gave them a warmth-heart to feel like home. Some guests are travelling through Asia and due to long journey they were tired when they arrive to our country. We have to welcome them very warmly and we were not letting them go without happiness. Miss that time deeply. Vaccines are bought from India recently and government promise to inject all of Myanmar people. 2021 will be better future for all of us.

Hi Myat,

Very thoughtful of you to make your guests feel at home...

Asia is a huge country...with amazing places to explore...

Do you have any secret tips to share with us???

Myat Noe Oo

Hi Maria,

Asia is a huge continent to visit. We are in Southeast Asian Countries lists (ASEAN). Most travelers from Europe & America visit all southeast asian countries as there is no direct flight from European Countries to Myanmar. So you have to make a transit flight via Qatar/UAE/Thailand/Singapore. Once you get to one of the ASEAN countries, it's easy to visit through all ASEAN countries. In Myanmar, there are so many tour packages to visit.Tour companies can arrange various type to Tour Package according to your budget. If you visit in High Season period (October - March), everything will be more expensive but it's nice weather for sightseeing here. The Low Season (April - September) is very hot & dry season but everything in this period is cheap. Ballon over bagan in sunrise is one of amazing experience in our country.

Hello Myat...............Glad you looked at the property and Yes it is quite different and full unique Chinese and Arabic Furniture with a story behind each one. Some of the Furniture and Antiques are over 130 years old so makes it a very interesting property for a great holiday/The property is very up market and Luxurious  so we get guests who want to come back time after time................I believe if our partner Hosts have something different to offer then DO IT !!!

Many people are looking for something a "little" different from the usual apartments and furniture............Good luck for 2021 and hope all goes very well for you.. Cheers and talk again  Michael.

Hi folks!

I'm new to the partner communication hub. I'm Jean and we are based in Spain and have been running the B and B for a couple of years. We went to Myanmar in December 2013 and it was probably the best trip of my life! We were there for two weeks and travelled all around the country. I'd been very ill before this trip and we weren't sure that I'd make it - so it was a wonderful bonus and  a privilege to visit Myanmar ..the people were so friendly and helpful and the country is just beautiful!  the highlight of the trip was the hot air balloon over the temples of Bagan....an unforgettable experience!

Re tips to keep your guests smiling:

Be yourself - and always friendly. If they get lost on the way we go and find them.

At breakfast I sit with guests to chat to them and find out about them. This, of course, has to be intuitive. If I sense they'd rather be alone, I serve them and leave them to enjoy the view. We offer a variety of options for breakfast and will accommodate most needs.

They really like the personal touches, home-made marmalades and jam, our own olive oil, flowers in the room and fresh fruit, tea coffee etc,  In the bathroom they have shampoo, shower gel and hand sanitizer. We wear masks at home with guests around and have an ozone generating machine, so they know the house is virus free.

We have met some wonderful people and when this virus is under control, we will be travelling again ourselves and opening our doors again.

Hi Gin!

What a beautiful and exciting story you shared with us....

Myanmar must be amazing...I have many friends that have visited Myanmar and have the best memories and shared fabulous photos...I hope someday can visit this beautiful country.

I agree with you about guests...they love to be pampered and treated like family while they are away from home...

Wish you this year is a prosperous and healthy one?

1
Ginfizz20

Thank you M Adamopoulou!

You too - stay safe and healthy! I think the outlook is already better for this year!

Yes, if you get the chance try to visit Myanmar before it's too late and then becomes spoiled. We also took an 'express boat' on the Iriwaddy river - only 10 hours but very comfortable and a great way to see life of locals on the river.

Best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year!

10
M Adamopoulou

Gin,

I hope you are right about the outlook....

Many places in the world are getting spoiled every day and we are all responsible for it.

Thanks for your cruise suggestions...it sounds magnificent...I love one day cruises...

Please remember to edit your profile in Partner Community???

Thank you for your great tips.  We are in Noosa Australia, and provide home made jams, chutneys and breads.  The bread is freshly made on the day of arrival.  Also home made butter is in the fridge.  We love to chat with our guests, but this is also intuitive as some guests prefer to do their own thing.  Many great conversations are had with guests.  We also offer to drive our guests to a restaurant so they can taxi home if they would like to dine out.

michael beeston

Hello Donna.  we are in Surfers and yes !!  we try to help the guests as much as possible. We dont have home made Jams and Bread (unfortuneately) BUT a Big Bottle of Champagne in the Fridge and a Fabulous Spa in the apartment for the guests to enjoy and relax...............we try and make it a really Special occassion for them............Nice talking and when you are down Surfers way say Hello....Best regards Michael and Rita.
