URGENT! cancel booking required for tomorrow

Hi, calendar has not properly synced with Airbnb calendar and now I have a double booking. I can see Airbnb synced 20 minutes ago. Theis a problem your end - URGENT!

I need a phone number speak someone - why do you make it so hard? Please supply a phone number! Please me ASAP ***

You will need to log in to your Extranet and send a message to support, telling them to cancel the booking and explain that this was caused by their faulty calendar sync. You will have a battle on your hands because, although this is a well known problem with calendar sync, refuse to accept that there is any problem with it.

Also, contact the guest and explain that calendar sync is faulty and that they need to cancel the booking. It is something they must do from their account.

Thanks so much for your comment. Just so you know, yesterday when I went into the calendar to make some changes, I noticed that had blocked out over four years of all three of my calendars. It took me a couple of hours to sort it out. I have now snoozed The calendars issues cause too much stress!

Due to the nature of the post , we [partners] cannot assist other than to confirm next steps.


  1. No one will be calling you  
  2. Last minute cancellations or with in 48 hours, can only be handled by phoning it in ...or
  3. or If the reservation page right pane menu , Request Cancellation is active, use it with option 2.



Call BdC PartnerSupport

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘ messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Reservations
  5. Now choose Cancellation
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.

on the Topic of Calendar syncing with other OTA and vice versa, it has been talked to death on here to not use it.


You cannot be awake 24/7 to see a new booking and then manually block on the other OTA.


The correct solution is to use a 3rd party Channel Manager where it will govern each OTA calendar and prevent this. Some are free others minimal cost depending on pricing model.  



Have a look at as a CM, or  nobeds, cloudbeds.

My typical steps to get the guest to cancel, when it is NOT short notice is to :  

  • Open reservation page, scroll to bottom , message guest  
  • In message keep it simple, no padding.  
  • "Hi <Firstname> Due to a computer error there has been a mistake in availability on I will shortly send you a cancellation request, to confirm. Any prepayment to will be processed as a full refund, once you click the notification to confirm. Appollogies for the inconvience, Kind Regards."  
  • When Guest clicks the confirm the system will process andchange reservation status to cancelled. You should also get notification of this.

Thanks so much, all your advice to spot on. I have decided to give a miss for the moment, the calendar issues are far too stressful, especially after I noticed yesterday they had blocked out over four years on my calendars starting today! That was the last straw! Have a happy new year and 2021 in general. Cheers Jodee
