VAT

I have a BnB in Spain, and have gotten mixed messages about the need for a VAT number. Can anyone clarify for me?

Talk to your accountant or Revenue TAX office in the country you reside in first.

Hi James Arnold,

Usually if your business is registered for tax purposes, you will have a VAT number. As local laws differ, it would be recommended for you to reach out to your local government agency to confirm.

Kind regards,

Shirley E.

It is not always appropriate to register for VAT, which is why I said to talk to an accountant or similar service for advise.
