Describing a room.

I have 2 family rooms, both of them are for 2 adults and 2 children. One of the rooms has a double bed and bunks all in one room. The other has a double bed in the main bedroom and bunks in a separate adjoining room. How can I explain the difference in the room descriptions? Some guests prefer children to be in same bedroom, others prefer kids in separate bedroom.

Hi Michael.

I would photograph the rooms and give them a name or a number. Then put these photos in your listing. Write on the photo's what you think best describes the situation for everyone to easily and clearly understand. Make sure it corresponds with the booking settings.

hope this helps.

The help team at booking.com will make small changes to the automated text. The best would be to send them a small paragraph to be added that explains the differences.

In your bookings settings you can identify each bookable room by the number of rooms, eg Family 1 room (sleeps 4, double bed & bunks) & Family 2 rooms (room 1 double bed, room 2 bunks: sleeps 4) etc. By stating the number of rooms, this will show up when guests use the search criteria ( eg. 2 adults, 2 children & 2 rooms).

Agree with above suggestions - especially the photos, as most people are in a hurry and my not read descriptions carefully.

I agree about identifying the rooms separately identifying one as the Family Room and the other as a 2 Room Family Suite...works for us.

I also add in the description to double check which family space is being booked.....
