Guest with cancelled booking reservation

I had a question regarding booking.com reservations that we cancel in advance as a property due to a credit card that is invalid. If the guest arrives on the day of arrival and says they never received a notification that we were going to cancel their booking, do we refer them to booking.com? Or is there a specific phone number the guest can call?

The guest will already have contact info for BdC in their original booking email.

Its not up to you to provide it to them, so you don't need to think about that part.
