I assume you have you set up a template.

Just click on Edit and update your information

Since this section is called Tips & tricks, here's one from us.

We wrote a sheet with several house rules and useful information about accommodation, including WiFi credentials. The manual is in the main room, at clearly visible place, so everyone can see it. Since the first thing guests usually ask is wifi password, in this way, we let them read house rules :)

Thank you for above friends replys, yes, we can create a template includes the WiFi code, however, guests don't even open the email of template notice because Booking.com sends the reservation email notice and the template notice separatelly. Unlike Airbnb, Airbnb includes and sends the WiFi code in the reservation confirmation Email notice, so that guest must open the email noice must see the Wifi code. Therefore, I think I find a bigger bug of the Extranet of the Booking.com Merchant service, that the Merchant service extranet doesn't able to include the Wifi code in the reservatoin email notice, accordingly, I should be awarded with some kind of commission deduction's waives by the Booking.com because I find a bigger bug of their merchant service system.

Booking.com please award me.

You can't blame BDc for your guests not reading messages sent via the extranet.....at least you can prove you sent it to them.

no, the features of the template is only allowed to create one at one time, and Extranet only be able to sent your template for ONE template, if you create two template, Extranet won't send the second one to guest email box. Therefore, this bug force me to add the Wifi code into the template of the Terms & Conditions of the guest house. That's make the template of the Terms Conditions looks ugly!!!

Hi all,

I agree with royalclarencehotel.com .

Rather issue the wifi password on arrival to avoid having to re-communicate with the client. Booking.com handles the Reservation side, we handle the Stay.

Best of luck!

We have 3 posters( in A4 format ) with the WIFI network name and the password.

One hangs at eye level in reception, one at eye level in the dining room, and one at eye level on the ground floor. The network has a radius of 30 metres from the router, so it works well in the garden.

I it safe to send your WiFi code by template?

I have printed it out in really big font and point it out to the guests as I am giving them a tour of their accommodation.

Do you think that should be OK?

Hey there,

I think just having it printed out somewhere on the property (and pointing it out) will work.

I wouldn't send it on template. Besides, if they really want it and can't find it then they will ask you.

Keep well!

Hello,

Thank you for your response that is what I thought.

Some people who also do lettings have had people book one minute and cancel an hour or so later and they do that with multiple properties on the same afternoon or so. I don't know if there is something strange going on!! I would be nervous about sending all my details by email.

So I am happy to take a few minutes and let my guests know the password.

Enjoy hosting.
