multiple bedroom block bookings

Dear booking .com friends,

I have three bedrooms which share a communal kitchen and sitting room in an apartment adjoining our main residence. Maximum capacity is 2 + 4 + 3 = 9 persons.

These bedrooms are booked individually on booking .com.

How do I create a booking where the client books the entire apartment ( i.e; all 3 bedrooms and the communal area for his exclusive use) regardless of how many and which beds are used?

Or should the client carry out the three seperate bookings?

with thanks

David

If they have the intelligence then the guests can book multiple rooms in one go on Bdc - or they can book rooms separately.

I think it is really a case of how well they understand the booking form... some book multiple rooms with us in one go; some book each rooms individually...

Thanks Graham.

So clearly there is something I don't know how to do - how does a guest book all three rooms in one go? Simply cross all the boxes of all our bedrooms at the same time?

If it's as easy as that, then all I have to do is make it clear that it is possible to book multiple rooms, and put some blurb on my info pages to show that booking all the rooms at one time can give them exclusivity on the whole apartment, and it's as easy as booking one room.

I believe so David, although I've never done it myself... just my wife and myself so I never need more than one room (and I never use Bdc), but trust me it can be done.

We have a similar situation to your premises David.

We have had guests book two or three rooms, adjoining, in a single booking. They just have to pay attention to the booking form. If you use an ordinary internet browser and go to the bdc public site and search your own accomodation you can see it just as your guests would.

I am toying with creating a virtual suite, of multiple rooms (the other rooms all put together) in order to be able to change the conditions and rates. I am wary though that this could cause double bookings.

Many thanks Shirtsandsigns.

Quite ironic is that we've been doing B+B since 1992, and , because of our site, and because of what we offer when guests come, we've almost always had weekly, or two-weekly bookings, and bookings of all the rooms together.

Using booking .com has asked us to focus on letting individual rooms, so this is quite a new experience for us. Like you I've only seen one way out of this, to create a seperate page for the entire apartment, since this business is still very important for us, and take the risk on double bookings. It's a very different guest who takes all the rooms, so it needs a separate write-up, and the tarifs are indeed calculated differently. I've just got to open my computer more to deal with it!

Hi Eco Maison

Did you manage to solve this issue as we are doing something similar where we have 6 suites that can be booked individually and people can book the whole lodge as well so we need away that if there is a booking on a single suite it blocks the whole lodge booking and the other way round.

I believe you cant have multiple listings for the same property on booking.com as we had the whole lodge booking managed by another company and they wouldnt let us list the individual rooms ourselves
