Opportunity Centre

I am starting to find the messages sent through the opportunity centre as really annoying. I keep getting pretty much the same messages through  every day and I answer them to say not applicable or already completed or whatever  and then when I look later that day or the following day the same message are there again. How can I stop this happening as I have better things to do with my time then answering the same messages every day?

Hey,

Oh tell me about it, I am experiencing the same. I've read somewhere that they are experiencing technical difficulties regarding opportunities that have already been completed. So maybe that will be fixed soon.

But if they continue annoying you, just mark it as Not Interested and indicate "already completed". This will keep the notifications away. I'm just worried that it will look as if I'm not interested in using the opportunities provided by Booking.com which will count against me...

Anyone else have any insights here?

Thanks Leandri glad its not just me that's getting bugged about it.

What's really annoying me is that i do mark them as not interested etc but they still keep coming through. I had 18 this morning, marked each one as not interested, already completed etc and then this afternoon they were all back again. They all seem to have vanished again so hope they don't come back but I wont hold my breath.

Two human features are brought into play here, say no or ignore ;-)

I certainly don't answer them....."you have 50,000 outstanding opportunities" , well maybe a slight overstatement but who cares.

The vast majority are only there in an attempt to make BDC the cheapest selling platform. If an OTA is more expensive than another they will cry parity-foul. If they are cheaper the referee goes blind.

It can also be a tool for us, after 6 months of negotiations with a more expensive OTA, they have finally agreed to match BDC commision rates. That means I can cast my net wider, while at the same time chasing down those direct sales.

Hey fluff ,

You make a few good points. I'm the suffering in silence type, and just kept reporting it. I don't mind so much that they Have the opportunities, I just don't like the fact that the tool doesn't really work. When you mark it as Done, it will pop up again.

SAme I now have 11 opportunities which I have responded to and they just keep on coming back. I write emails to booking.com but get no reply. I now ignore opportunities - it is rubbish.

Hey everyone,

I have some feedback.

Apparently they are aware of the bugs and they have been very busy in fixing it. I got the message about last week that the "bugs were squashed". We are meant to test it now again and send feedback if the bugs come back.
