Problems responding to messages

Hi all,

I'd like some help, please.

 

My dashboard still shows 3 unread guest messages. I've actually read and replied to each one, but now I'm unsure if these have actually been sent.

 

All advice is gratefully received.

Hi Liam,

Welcome to the forum!

Okay, I've had this problem before and I actually realised that I made a very simple mistake when I replied.

If a message comes through and you would like to reply to it. Make sure you don't click on the Send a New Message button at the bottom. Right underneath the new message will be two hyperlinks. One says "No reply needed" and the other says "Reply to this message". Make sure you click on "Reply to this message".

If the message was sent, you will be able to see it on the file. Go to the reservation and in the middle of the page will be all the correspondence between you and the guest.

Try it and see if that solves your problem?

We are having the same problem but non of the buttons are coming up, just the option to type a new message.

Hey there Townhouseaberfeldy

Since the previous messages were sent, Booking.com has actually fixed their system. There is no more reply button, rather a 'Message does not need a reply' button. Any message you send will act as a Reply.

If you can see the message in the extranet then it has been sent.

Requests is now apart, you need to do that seperately from the messages. So maybe check if those Unread messages of yours isn't actually requests.

we have tried everything. it still shows as unread. we have sent a full-stop twice to see if that will clear it as there is no option coming up with no need to reply it just asks to start typing a new message.

Hi,

I'm actually having the same problem, I have a message from a guest i need to reply to, however, i only get the button "send a new message". And even if i click it, write the message and press send, the message is not sent and it just disapears.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Mariana,

I see you posted this 6 days ago, when I also had the same problem. Mine has since been reset to normal. It just fixed itself.

Is yours fine again?
