Two step verification
I wanted to access my reservations this afternoon and was asked for two-step verification so requested a text. Nothing came after several attempts. I also asked to receive a phone call but nothing. This prevented me from accessing my reservation while the client was here which was very annoying! Either send the PIN for access or disable two-step verification.
hello and welcome to bdc partner forum for sharing tips and advice ie. this is not official bdc customer support!
2 factor authentication is for your protection and you must have enabled it in the first place.
Did you try the email option? There is also the pulse app option both for getting the pin or accessing the bookings!
Used it earlier today and is working fine.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, mine all worked fine this morning, after I received 6 texts from Booking.com during the night. My point is that, when I needed to access the system quickly yesterday because I had a client standing opposite me, the PIN did NOT come through and it is not acceptable for this system to be erratic.
yes fair point unless it was a glitch with the telco your end!
I might think that, too, but I have seen a few comments on these boards relating to delayed sending of PIN messages and return of the automated phone call with PIN.
This is terrible. I understand that the security of our account is important, but the system seems to have some issues very often as it takes a long time to send the code, and sometimes I don't receive it at all. It's cumbersome to have to authenticate every single step inside the extranet also. And I don't think it's a telco problem because we have numbers located in a few different countries as my kids in Europe help me manage the account remotely. They don't received the codes as well. This is particularly difficult for us because we have several computers inside the resort, and it's taking a toll on our productivity. Is there any way we could simplify the authentication process and use only our username and password? The current process seems to be causing more problems than it solves. Perhaps there's an alternative solution that could offer both security and convenience?
has anyone found a way of removing the 2FA please?
