Thank you very much for your list. It is sound advice and I practice most of these. I have to work on the garden though. I also agree with the person who commented on cleanliness. That is essential. I usually ask for a damage deposit but will sometimes waive it if the guest asks. However I have found that after they leave I realize something is missing,i.e. forkes, cups, wash rags. How would you handle this?
Does anyone have the problem of trying to tag a photo but the options are so limited that you have nothing to choose from? I get so frustrated. I would prefer the option to write the appropriate description myself. Is there any way around it?
I am new too and having the same problem with prepayment. It is there in my policy and although I have informed the guest by email I have had no response. At this stage I don't know whether to expect them or not. There is a number given to contact local booking.com agent, so I think I will try that. However I don't know if its a 24 hour service.
Dear Lilihelena I am sorry to hear about your problem. I am also afraid that something like this could happen. I have not put the directions to my property for this reason. I will inform the guests of the directions when they pay the deposit. I require a 50% deposit. Also I prefer to send them the bank information directly but I do not know how to do that yet since their direct contact information does not come up on the reservation page.
Hope to see more interaction on this.
Hi, my name is Bev Chin and I recently joined Booking.com and am still working on improving info. I own a spacious three bedroom townhouse in the plains of Liguanea, St. Andrew, Jamaica, which is centrally located, and surrounded by mountains. It is close to the University of the West Indies and the University of Technology, the National Stadium and the Hope Botanical Gardens and Zoo. There are a number of restaurants and places of entertainment, including the Bob Marley Museum. This area is also the gateway to the Blue and John Crow mountains for persons who are interested in hiking.
This townhouse is suitable for business travellers as well as persons on vacation.
A bright and warm welcome awaits you. Please come and visit soon. Mandy I like the idea of property swapping. I live in the mountains, not at the above property so we can explore that idea.
