How to return a payment of booking to guests?

by mistake we did not close a booking for one appartaments and people did a payment and booked. How to get them money back?

If it is a virtual card of Booking.com, ask the guest to cancel the reservation, don't charge the card on the day after check in and send a message to Booking.com that you will waive the fees.
