online payment from third party booking through AGODA

Lately I have been getting bookings from AGODA guests who pays online through AGODA. How do I get this payment from AGODA

Did you receive the booking from Booking.com (BDC)?

If yes, you get paid in the normal manner you have set with BDC.

If no, i.e. you received it from AGODA, then whatever payment system you have with them prevails.

(Agoda is both an affiliate to BDC and under the same master company, Booking Holdings. They have access to all properties listed on BDC.)

I received booking from BDC. However, I have not received the payment. Looks like I am not the only one not getting paid. Also not getting responce from BDC.

Please provide exact detail and we might be able to point you in the right direction.

What are your payment terms with BDC? How does this relate to the booking(s) in question.

If you wish to talk about actual bookings you must contact BDC via Extranet help or telephone.

 

For more general enquiries and advice we can help here (this is a forum of fellow property owners like you).

I was asking you for what type of payment system you have with BDC e.g. Payments by Booking.com which is BDC taking payments on your behalf and then paying you later (all check out dates in one month are paid on the 15th of the following month).

OR

Do you take payments directly yourself? Do you get paid in person at the premises?

OR

Do you have a third party company taking payment for you?

Etc?

When were the check out dates of guests for which you are waiting payment?

1. I allowed online payment to BDC or guest can pay upon check in by cash or bank transfer direct to me.

2. No Third party taking payment

3. First check out date 7 November 2021

Wow, it's hard work getting usable information from you!

 

Let's take that first booking with the 7th Nov.  check out. What payment arrangement was this particular booking received with? Pay at premises, Pay online and then how to you, other?

I'm basically trying to find out, for this booking, how the customer was supposed to pay AND how you were supposed to be paid? Every other booking you require payment for depends on these same two criteria. 

Clear, straight answers please or we really cannot help.

Customer booked through AGODA and paid to AGODA on behalf of BDC. The Booking came through BDC. It states payment made online and will be credited to my Virtual Card. However it show nothing in my virtual card till to date for all similar transaction.

In that case BDC should be issuing you a unique VCC number for each completed reservation/payout (not topping up a VCC account as BDC does not work that way). You use this number to get your payment either through your EDC machine (with virtual card capability) or use a third a party ( but you say you don't have this ).

I have not received this "unique VCC number" from BDC.  How do I follow up on this with BDC?

You will need to contact BDC directly by 'phone or via extranet message. Check with them which type of payment you are set up for with them (it sounds like you might not have VCC set up).

If you do have VCC set up then you'll need to chase up those unique numbers.

EDC = Electronic Data Capture = POS = credit card machine. Do you have one these that can take virtual cards? (discuss with your bank). If not, either get one, if your bank allows, or change how BDC pay you. e.g. bank transfer.

You can also go to the Finance tab in Extranet, use the drop down menu to find what kind of payment scheme you are on there.

At this point that is all I can suggest. Only BDC support can supply the answers you need now.

I have tried to contact BDC via extranet several times but got no reply. I cannot find the phone number to call. Do you know the contact number for Malaysia?

Hi Arina Unity, 

The payment all depends on what you have set up in your extranet. If you take credit cards, then you will be required to charge the guest credit card that is provided with the booking. If you are on payments by Booking, then you will receive a payout. 

From what I can see, you are on cash only so you will need to retrieve cash from the guest upon arrival as per any other guest booking.
