Hi all
I have just signed up for Booking.com and have my first reservation. The guest has asked me when her payment may come out? Does anyone know what the time frame is usually using the online payment system through booking.com?
By default direct with you on arrival.
As it sounds like you have read zero about how it all works, go read solutions like online payments VCC versus payments by booking,
But consider sticking to your own methods , define them in New Reservation template along with a time limit to pre pay, helps eliminate fake bookings, and no shows.
Simply report to BdC Partner Support , see below 3 methods. They will never see any post on the Partner Hub.

I’m sorry I should have clarified that the funds will be managed by booking.com and the question was when payments will be taken out of her account as she has asked me the question.

Hi So based on what you said, it's still ambiguous as you did not say what payment method you signed up for.
If you signed up of BdC online payments that enables prepay at booking, and you see a Virtual Credit Card info, usable on day 2 of the stay. Guest pays at booking time.
If Payments by Booking, then its similar but taken immediately upon booking .
Option 3 when you have not signed up for either, then you define and take before , or on arrival.
There's no specific way to know other than that.

Thanks for reaching out.
In regards to Payments by Booking, we still follow your particular cancellation policy and prepayment policy. You can generally see what the terms are for a specific reservation by searching it in the extranet. Go to Reservations tab > find the reservation based on check in date > open reservation > towards the bottom of the reservation information you can see prepayment and cancellation policies.
If the guest needs further clarification, they can also reach out to Customer Service or check their confirmation email as this will state it for them as well.
