Card validation and fee collection solution
Guests who choose to pay for their booking at your property must provide their credit card details at the time of booking. These details need to be validated and the risk associated with the process needs to be managed. If you use our payments solutions, our new credit card validation and cancellation fee collection solution can help reduce your workload.

How the solution works
This solution takes care of validating guests’ credit cards, charging cancellation or no-show fees and taking liability for chargebacks. It also helps you comply with regulations, such as establishing strong customer authentication. There is no extra fee for using this solution.
Here’s how it works:
- We’ll validate credit cards whenever guests book with your flexible, no prepayment policies.
- To ensure privacy and data protection, we securely store guests' credit card details so you don't have to handle sensitive data and payment information.
- When guests check into your property, they’ll pay you directly.
- If a guest cancels or doesn’t show up, we charge the guest and collect cancellation and no-show fees on your behalf. To increase the success rate of fee collection, no-shows must be marked within four days of the check-in date.
- Once we’ve collected the fee, we pay it to you via virtual credit card. If your preferred payout method is by bank transfer, we’ll transfer it in the same cycle as your normal payout process.
- You won’t be charged any commission if fee collection isn’t successful.

Where the solution is available
Currently, the solution is available in countries in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco and San Marino. We will reach out to you via email once it becomes available in your country. To access this solution, you must be using our new payments solution and offer non-prepayment policies with free cancellation as a part of your policies setup.
