Getting property map coordinates from Google Maps
We ask for your property’s map coordinates so that your location is displayed correctly on Booking.com. It also affects distances to local landmarks and places of interest, so it’s important that you enter accurate coordinates for your property.
To get your property’s coordinates, follow these steps:
- Open Google Maps.
- Find your property’s location and right-click your mouse.
- Select What's here?.
- At the bottom, you’ll see the coordinates of the location where you right-clicked.
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Zoom in on your property’s location.
- Touch the screen at your property’s location and hold your finger there until a red pin appears. Note: it has to be a point on the map where there isn’t already another label.
- You’ll see the coordinates in the search box at the top of the map.
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Zoom in on your property’s location.
- Touch the screen at your property’s location and hold your finger there until a red pin appears. Note: it has to be a point on the map where there isn’t already another label.
- At the bottom, tap Dropped pin to show your property’s coordinates.
If you're using Google Maps in Lite mode (e.g. if you’re using a mobile browser), you’ll see a lightning bolt at the bottom and you won't be able to get the coordinates of a place.
