How can I update my sustainable practices in the extranet?

Updated 6 months ago

While travel has the power to transform lives for the better, every trip impacts the environment and local communities. We at Booking.com are committed to reducing this as much as possible, but we can’t do this alone.

What have we done so far?

We have worked with experts at the non-profit, Travalyst, to develop and identify practices in the hospitality industry that can create positive change. From this research, we’ve added 14 sustainable practices in the ‘Property’ tab of your extranet page (examples include eliminating single-use plastics, electricity-saving measures and reducing water usage).

What can you do today?

Please make sure your sustainable practices are up to date by checking 'yes' or 'no' for each action.

  1. Click on the ‘Property’ tab on the extranet and select ‘Sustainable practices’ in the lower right corner.
  2. Select a category that is relevant for your property and click ‘Update as facility’. This will take you to the ‘Sustainable facilities’ section of your extranet.
  3. Check 'Yes' only for the practices you are currently doing at your property.
  4. Check 'No' for any practice not currently in place.
  5. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.

Not currently implementing these sustainable practices but interested in learning more?

  1. Click on the ‘Property’ tab of the extranet and select ‘Sustainable practices’ in the lower right corner.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button that says 'Share your feedback'.
  3. Simply fill in the form and our team will keep you updated.

Have you taken more steps than what we currently include in the extranet?

That’s fantastic - let us know which practices you have implemented so that we can prioritize additions and grow our sustainable efforts together.

  1. Click on the ‘Property’ tab of the extranet and select ‘Sustainable practices’ in the lower right corner.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button that says 'Share your feedback'.
  3. As before, fill in the form and our team will update you when we have added new practices.
