How can I set or update room rates for different occupancies?

This article describes how you can manually set and adjust your occupancy pricing after you’ve activated the rate level occupancy feature. If you want your rates to change automatically according to the room occupancy, make sure you’ve activated derived pricing.

To change a room rate based on occupancy, simply log on to your extranet and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Rates & Availability’ tab, and select 'Calendar.
  2. Choose the rate you want to edit by clicking the arrow beside it. Under ‘Price’, click on ‘Edit occupancy pricing’.
  3. In the pop-up window, the number of guests for the base price will be highlighted. You can activate or deactivate alternative occupancies using the ‘Status’ toggle buttons.
  4. Click on the drop-down boxes under ‘Price change’/‘Discount’ to choose either a fixed percentage or a fixed amount to add/discount when the occupancy increases/decreases.
  5. Click on ‘Save changes’ to finalise your occupancy prices.

Depending on your property type, the steps may differ as follows:
