How can I update my rates and availability? [New]

NOTE: Depending on your property type, this feature may not be available yet. If not, follow these instructions on how to update your rates and availability instead.

We’ve made it very easy for you to update your rates and availability. You’ll see different options below. Check which of the screenshots matches what you see in the extranet, then follow the appropriate steps.

 

You can increase your visibility in search results and attract early bookers by making sure you load rates and availability well in advance. On Booking.com, you can give guests the option to book up to 16 months ahead. The more rooms with bookable rates that you make available, the more travellers you'll appeal to.  


Option 1: List view calendar 

If you’re using the List view calendar, follow these steps to update your rates for a certain period:

  1. Log on to the Extranet and click on 'Calendar' under your Rates & Availability’ tab.
  2. Find the room type/unit and the rate plan you want to edit the prices for.
  3. Hover over the bottom part of a cell in the ‘Rate plan’ row and click on the white box that appears. To update a price, change the value in the white box and click on another part of the page, or press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard, to save your changes.
  • To make changes for multiple days at once: Click on the top part of a cell and drag the blue circles on the edges either left or right to select the appropriate dates. A white pop-up box will appear where you can change the price before clicking on ‘Save’.
  • To make changes for more than one month ahead: Click on the ‘Bulk edit’ button. A panel will appear where you can select the dates you want to edit the prices for. Then, click on the ‘Prices’ drop-down box, select a rate plan and add a value in the white box next to it. Click on ‘Save changes’ when you’re done. 
  • You can also make bulk changes to your availability, restrictions and prices.

If you’re using the List view calendar, follow the steps below to update your availability:

  1. Log on to the Extranet and click on 'Calendar' under your Rates & Availability tab,
  2. Click on a cell in the ‘Rooms to sell’ row and change the value in the white box. Click on another part of the page, or press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard, to save your changes.
  • To make changes for multiple days at once: Click on a cell and drag the blue circles on the edges either left or right to select the appropriate dates. A white pop-up box will appear where you can change the number of rooms before clicking on ‘Save’.
  • To make changes for more than one month ahead: Click on the ‘Bulk edit’ button. A panel will appear where you can select the dates you want to change your availability for. Then, click on the ‘Rooms to sell’ drop-down box and add a value in the white box next to ‘Room(s)’. Click on ‘Save changes’ when you’re done.

Tip

You can update your availability for multiple room types at once by clicking on ‘Multiple room types’ when the bulk-edit panel appears. Then, adjust the number of rooms to sell for those rooms/units you want to update, and click on ‘Save changes’.

 

NOTE: Remember to always load prices for any dates you have opened – if you don’t, potential guests won’t be able to see and book these rooms on Booking.com.

Option 2: Monthly view calendar

If you’re using the Monthly view calendar, follow these steps to update your rates and availability:

  1. Log on to the extranet and select the Calendar & Pricing or Rates & Availability tab.
  2. To the left of the calendar, select the room or unit you’d like to update.
  3. Click on a single date directly in the calendar, or enter a desired ‘Start date’ and ‘End date’ in the top-right corner.Alternatively: Click on the ‘Advanced date selection’ drop-down box and under the question ‘Which weekdays do you want to apply changes to?’, tick the specific days you want to attach prices to.
  4. Set the price in the designated field. 
  5. You can also mark this price as a non-refundable rate, and add a minimum length of stay and advance booking options*.
  6. Make sure that the days you’re applying the rates to also have rooms marked ‘Open’ for bookings.
  7. Click on ‘Save’ when you’re done.

*NOTE: The ‘non-refundable’ option is only available to single unit properties that offer single rates.
