Well done you, very interesting and I am sure true. Spent loads of time answering French guests for birthday party and cake, we are 40mins drive from nearest shop! for 4 guests 2 arriving separately. My staff pulled the stops out pictures of wedding dress for parents. We only have 6 bungalows and they had two. Not even throw of coins for my staff or Review! This is not polite or normal and find some guests have no manners at all. So much unchargeable and would have cost an arm and a leg at a hotel....been taken for a ride now a number of times by guests where its cost me more than the price they paid for the room. 4 horrible false reviews that look ridiculous against our good ones. I answer them nicely...and actually see it as a chance to promote now too. 8.8 though and only just finished our 2nd 5 month season, on an island so difficult this year we close for 5 months to upgrade!
All I know is that you must mark the booking No Show within 48 hours of the stay if they did not stay so that no commission is charged by booking. You Must inform them quickly
Hi - I also had difficulty finding the right bank branch and though my branch is a 3 hour drive away I did wait until I coulld visit them to ensure my banking details were in correctly. Won't really know until mid-September when I get my first fees put in. I had a language barrier otherwise I would have tried by phone first. I agree call booking first and take it from there.
I think but someone correct me if I am wrong - you need to contact booking to add that option to the room it applies to. I had a 3 room and couldn't show the increased price and so calling them was the only way.
Hi I had the same issue and my branch bank number was impossible to find in the list. My branch is 5 hours drive away...but I registered and left it after a phone call to booking. Do not cancel as the system may not let you join again for a period. BC won't take money from guest until bank details are in. Suggest you do as I do and I went to my branch and they did the entry for me on Pulse on the phone so the correct details are in.
I spoke with booking about this as I activated to receive payments through booking and then could not put my bank details in and need to go to my bank first to make sure I have the bank numbers correct as they are a bit weird. I wanted to check so asked to deactivate. They said if I deactivate then it will take maybe 6 months to reactivate which is no good to me. They said however I could leave it activated without bank account until I can sort it out and they will not take money as their is no attached bank account.
Hope this helps

Hi Americanstarinn, I had the same thing happen last season and I thought they hadn't shown up as I did not see them. I was new last November so I contacted Booking and told them to reverse it that he had showed up. They rapped my knuckles a bit but reversed it. In the beginning I was getting between 68/71% cancellations and a few no shows which was driving me mad at the time. Good luck
