Based in Cyprus: why won't bookingdotcom handle my payments

I am based in the Republic of Cyprus, with a property in the Republic of Cyprus, and have been a partner with bookingdotcom since about 2013. They won't take payments on my behalf. Bookingdotcom handles payments for other friends with property in Cyprus. I seem to be the only person in Cyprus with this problem. But despite several requests they won't do it for me. They have given me the option of "virtual card" payments. But guess what, the monopoly card provider in Cyprus, JCC, doesn't do virtual POS. I have not yet found an international provider that will do virtual POS for a business based in Cyprus (thank no doubt to our moneylaundering politicans), so the virtual card is useless to me. I have to keep taking cash payments, which I would prefer not to. 

If I can't sort this out I am going to leave bookingdotcom and just stick with AirBnB. AirBnB is FAR superior in terms of ease of payment, ease of setting up the account and general owner experience.

Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport 

 

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.

Thanks. You reply only serves to underline how bad the Bookingdotcom service is for partners. I did go through messages, I did find someone very helpful.

But now I have to wait for "weeks, maybe months" to switch the payment method. They can't tell me when as it is "next time they do an update of the site". I have been trying to do this for years now.
