Bugs: "It looks like something went wrong. Please try again."

Trying to add 6 new properties - get the same error message on all of them after completing the initial set up an clicking the Open for bookings button. All 6 new properties are showing in our Group Account as "90%" and "Continue registration". I have another 3 new properties to add next week too.

Sent a message to BDC support. First response from BDC support was total nonsense - I replied that they hadn't read the support message and they should try again. Someone else at BDC support told me something else, third person told me to change to Chrome browser. Still no difference.

We've had this bug before when trying to add new properties. It seems to go away eventually. But there is something very wrong somewhere and BDC support seem totally convinced that nothing is wrong with the BDC systems.

Also had the same error message when trying to message guests.

Has anyone else seen this message? Does anyone know anything more? Does anyone know of anyone in BDC support who actually knows what they're doing?????

I've seen this message when sending messages to guests and there it seems to be to do with "timing out".  When composing a long message, I find it's worth composing it in Word, then cutting and pasting it in.  Could the problem you are having to do with "timing out"?

Don't know if it's timing out ...... We're logged in to the Group Account to set up these new properties, we stay logged in ...... it's right at the end of the setup when we click the Open for bookings button that the error occurs ..... The data / settings we choose are all still there, even if we refresh or close the browser or switch to another browser ..... so we're not "timing out" during the set up .... it's definitely a bug on the BDC side .....

Hmmm, this is one for them then, and you'll keep getting all the usual useless responses to messages with no consideration for the urgency.  Have you tried phoning instead of messaging?  At least you can demolish the cut-and-paste dismissals as you go, and maybe get transferred to somebody "live" who might have a better idea than the badly-trained call centre fodder.

This problem has still not been resolved. The bug is still there.

I phoned BDC and luckily got through to someone who spent some time to understand the problem. It's a known bug, it's on their list to deal with .......
