damages

Hi I noticed that booking does not cover in any way damages to our property caused by guest . Is that correct?

If this is the case I am going to close the bookings on our properties.

Yes, that is correct.

However, you do have the option to list a security deposit required at check in to cover such occurrence.

yes but that's ridiculous, firstly because it is limited to 300 euros, How can you cover any large damage with a few euros? Secondly because the guest can become angry, confrontational and become abusive with the staff if not refunded of the deposit. It just does not work , I am planning either to raise the fares at least 50% or quit booking as soon as possible, since all other major competitors offer a full  Host guarantee.

Perfectly fair comment except ALL the hotel orientated OTAs work the same way.

Most of the home-stay OPAs work as you say.
