How to avoid reservations from fake profiles?

Dear partners please advise how to avoid or make impossible for fake profiles to book my listings.

I do get reservations from people who don't show up yet these reservations keep my calendar busy and unavailable for potential guests to book my listings.

p.s. I can't receive bank payments, nor can charge for no show or last minute cancellations due to Booking.com policies for my listings.

I would appreciate your advices. Thank you.

Hi Mat,

You are able to set your own policies and pre-authorisation requests via the extranet under Property > Policies. You can then follow these policies to test or charge guest cards before arrival depending on how you have set them up. As BrookeAve has said, you can then mark the cards as invalid if they do not go through and then cancel the booking after the required period if the guest does not provide a new one.

If you are having many issues with fraudulent bookings, please reach out to Customer Service to see if they can assist further to mark the fraudulent behaviour.

Thanks!
